Blog 9: A little different11/30/2022 This week I truly didn’t do much except play Minecraft. I also kinda didn’t do very well in editing but I am thinking of changing my way of gathering video footage and editing. I will explain what I am thinking of in a bit. This week I decided instead of going back to Payday I would play Minecraft with my friend Lukas who is in Brazil. I decided to do Minecraft because Lukas randomly messaged me asking if I wanted to play Minecraft so I took advantage of this to record. We went onto a server and started playing mini-games and attempting to create an actually good video. Now after we finished recording I went right to bed and didn’t think about the video until the morning. When I woke up I procrastinated and didn’t start editing the video, I didn’t even start that day. It took me until the next afternoon to start editing the video because I procrastinated so much. Due to my being very lazy I just edited down the video length and didn’t really add any extra edits. I am not happy with this video and I feel really bad because it should’ve been good and I feel like I let Lukas down. Now, about my idea on how to change how I get footage and edit my video. I have come up with the oh-so-glorious idea, “What if I just stopped the footage and put what I had onto my SSD card?”. This very obvious idea didn’t strike me until now for some reason and I feel quite stupid for not thinking of it. That was the footage part so what about the editing? Well, I am now going to be able to record a bunch of footage and cut only the funny parts out of that footage to make much better videos. It will come at the cost of more time but I don’t care as I want to make a video that I am truly proud of. Overall this week was very uneventful but my obvious revelation could be a pretty good turn for the best. I hope that the next video will be much better than the last few because I have a clear goal in mind.
